+ How much is my Haring print worth?
Keith Haring print values vary considerably depending on imagery, edition size, condition, and demand. Both lifetime prints signed by Haring himself and estate-authorised editions trade actively across a wide range. Complete sets and portfolios trade for significantly more than individual prints sold separately. The most reliable way to understand what your print is worth today is through a complimentary valuation — contact info@alexyellop.com to get started.
+ Is there a fee for your valuation or selling service?
No. There is no fee to consign a work and no charge for a valuation. The process costs you nothing — you receive the full agreed sale price, with no commission, no marketing charges, and no deductions of any kind. If you decide not to proceed at any stage, there is no obligation and no cost.
+ How does the selling process work?
The process begins with a complimentary valuation. Once a sale price is agreed, the work is offered discreetly to an established network of collectors, dealers, and private clients internationally. No sale is completed without your approval. When a buyer is confirmed and funds are secured, payment is made directly to you — your work is not released until cleared funds have been received. Throughout, the process is handled with full discretion and no obligation to proceed at any stage.
+ Will you buy my print outright or sell it on consignment?
Both options are available depending on the work and your circumstances. In some cases we will purchase prints directly; in others we work on a consignment basis, placing the work with a buyer and completing the sale on your behalf. We'll advise which approach is likely to achieve the best outcome for your particular piece.
+ How long does it take to sell a Haring print?
Most sales complete within six to eight weeks of coming to market. Haring's market remains consistently active internationally and we maintain relationships with collectors specifically seeking his work. Complete sets may take a little longer to place with the right buyer, though demand for these is strong.
+ When and how will I be paid?
Payment is made by bank transfer once funds have cleared from the buyer. We do not release your work to the buyer until cleared funds are received, so you are fully protected throughout the transaction.
+ Does my print need to be sent to you?
Not necessarily. In most cases your print can remain with you throughout the process. We'll ask for high-quality photographs and a short video to present the work to buyers. For some works it may be necessary to unframe to allow a proper assessment, but we'll discuss this with you beforehand. Physical transfer is arranged only when a sale is confirmed.
+ Does the condition of my print affect its value?
Works in all conditions are considered, and condition is always assessed honestly as part of the valuation — condition is a factor in determining value but rarely prevents a sale entirely.
+ What documentation do I need?
Any documentation of ownership history you have — receipts, invoices, or previous auction records — will support the sale, though works without a complete paper trail can still be placed successfully. The Keith Haring Foundation dissolved its authentication committee in 2012 and no longer accepts works for authentication, so provenance and physical correspondence with documented edition details are the accepted points of reference.
+ How do I get started?
Email info@alexyellop.com with a few photographs of your print, its approximate dimensions, and any details you have about its edition number and provenance. A complimentary valuation and initial assessment will follow. The process is completely confidential and carries no obligation to proceed.
