Landscape 10 (C.60) gathers the Ten Landscapes Series into its most materially layered work — screenprint applied to a chromogenic photographic print and translucent moiré Rowlux collage, three mediums combined in a single work. The photographic ground provides a record of actual landscape; the moiré Rowlux adds shifting reflective effects; the screenprint overlays both with Lichtenstein's print style. . The choice to place the work of greatest material complexity at this point in the series was structurally significant.
Where Landscape 1 (C.51) had made its case with a spare screenprint on rag board — the most explicit and unmediated approach in the series — Landscape 10 (C.60) gathered every material strategy the series had developed and applied them at once. Lichtenstein completed the Ten Landscapes at a moment of genuine ambition in his print output.
