The Bad Boys Complete Portfolio (Littmann PP. 57–59) by Keith Haring comprises of six silkscreens created in 1986, representing one of the most personal and sexualised bodies of work within the artist's print oeuvre. Produced at the height of his career, the portfolio departs from many of the symbols most closely associated with Haring and instead focuses on sexuality, intimacy and the male figure.

Across the six prints, Haring explores a range of encounters and relationships through a highly reduced visual approach. Figures appear alone, in pairs and in groups that vary from quiet and contemplative to crowded and confrontational. Rather than relying on colour or elaborate detail, the portfolio is built entirely from black lines on a white, placing emphasis on form, posture and human interaction.

Unlike many of Haring's best-known works. the Bad Boys portfolio addresses adult themes with unusual candour. The series reflects a shift towards more personal subject matter, presenting the body as both a formal device and a vehicle for exploring desire, vulnerability and connection. Throughout the portfolio, Haring demonstrates how a few carefully placed lines can communicate complex emotional and physical relationships.

The silkscreen medium suits the directness of the imagery, allowing Haring's confident draftsmanship to remain at the forefront of each work. While the subject matter distinguishes the portfolio from much of his wider output, the economy of line, clarity and sense of movement remain instantly recognisable. As a complete set, Bad Boys offers a rare insight into a less public side of Haring's work and personal life, revealing an artist willing to expand the boundaries of his practice while maintaining the distinctive qualities that made him one of the defining figures of twentieth-century art.
