Lucky Strike Complete Portfolio (Littmann PP. 77–79) by Keith Haring is a series of five silkscreens created in 1987 that explores the relationship between branding, popular culture and contemporary image-making. Built around the instantly recognisable Lucky Strike cigarette packet, the portfolio demonstrates Haring's ability to transform familiar commercial symbols into works of art without losing their original visual power nor diluting the artistry itself.

Across the series, the Lucky Strike logo appears in a series of unique depictions. In some works it is presented as an object held and displayed, while in others it becomes a platform, a focal point or a symbol around which figures gather and move. By continually repositioning the packet within different works, Haring examines how brands achieve recognition through repetition and how simple images can acquire cultural significance far beyond their original purpose.

The portfolio reflects a subject that interested both Haring and his friend and mentor Andy Warhol: how the visual influence of products encountered in everyday life influences both society, consumers and art. Rather than separating fine art from advertising, Haring acknowledges the reality that logos, packaging and commercial design had become some of the most widely seen and recognisable images of the late twentieth century. The Lucky Strike logo functions almost like one of his own recurring motifs, capable of being repeated, reinterpreted and immediately recognised regardless of context.

As a complete set, the Lucky Strike portfolio stands among Haring's most engaging explorations of popular culture. Combining humour, visual invention and cultural observation. The series demonstrates how a familiar consumer product could be transformed into a compelling subject for contemporary art while remaining unmistakably Keith Haring.
