Blueprint Drawing 12 (Littmann P. 181) unfolds across two panels that track a single encounter from panic to release. In the upper panel, a group of figures runs from a barking dog, bodies pitched forward in flight, arms slicing the air behind them. The dog stands its ground, jaws open, radiating Haring's signature warning marks.
In the lower panel the same dog reappears, still barking, but the figures have changed their approach entirely: rather than continuing to flee, they vault over it one by one, bodies arced mid-leap, limbs thrown wide for momentum. The sequence reads as escape reimagined as agility — confrontation turned into clearance.
Rendered in Haring's stripped-back monochrome blueprint format, the drawing strips away colour to foreground pure movement and sequence. The dog, one of Haring's most recognisable symbols of warning and urban energy, remains a fixed obstacle across both panels, while the figures shift from reactive flight to deliberate, coordinated motion. The numbered panels and schematic clarity give the work the feel of an instructional diagram — a study in how a group moves together under pressure, and how threat can be met with motion rather than confrontation.
